GAAJ-ZENHOKYO established a “Bonded Wareahouse” approved by the Tokyo Customhouse to enable bond inspection services for stones coming from overseas, without paying taxes. The inspection of the gemstones is done in the premises of the warehouse.
This service is available through Malca-Amit or BRINKS shipping companies.

It is recommended to use the GAAJ-ZENHOKYO “Bonded Wareahouse” Service through Malca-Amit or BRINKS, as you are not liable for Consumption Tax or Customs duties charges.

If you choose to use a different shipping company or courier service please take into consideration the following Precautions;
・If you use courier services like FedEx, Consumption tax will be charged when item’s value is over JPY10, 000. However, this expense will be temporarily borne by GAAJ-ZENHOKYO Laboratory.
Customers may not be charged.
・Jewellery or loose stones of value under JPY 10,000 are exempt from Tax.
・If you use courier services like FedEx, Customs duties will be charged only for jewellery of value over JPY 10,000. Customers should be aware that the items sent for examination might be liable for Customs duties.
This expense will be charged on an invoice.
・Tariff rate may vary depending on country or item.

Note: We recommend that the client insures the item(s) covering the period from sending the item(s) to GAAJZENHOKYO laboratory until items are returned.
